Taking Payments

Wellbooked collects payments through Stripe. You connect your Stripe account once, then set prices on the appointment types you want to charge for. Wellbooked takes no platform fee— you keep 100% of the price, less Stripe's standard processing fee.

1. Go to Take Payments. Open the Take Payments page from the sidebar.
2. Click Connect on the Stripe card. You'll be taken to Stripe to set up your account — business details and the bank account where your payouts will land.
3. Finish onboarding. When you're done, you'll return to Wellbooked and the card will show Connected asyour Stripe email. If anything's missing, you'll be prompted to finish setup.

After connecting, you can set the payment slot hold— how long a time slot is reserved while a booker completes payment (default 15 minutes).

Open an appointment type and turn on Show pricing on this appointment type, then choose how to charge:

• Set price — a fixed amount. If the appointment offers multiple durations, you set a price for each.
• Sliding scale — a price range. Offer set steps between the minimum and maximum, let bookers enter their own amount in range, or both.

Prices are shown to bookers, and all amounts are in US dollars.

• Require payment to book— the booker pays as part of booking. Their slot is held while they pay, and the booking is confirmed the moment payment goes through.
• Send payment link after session— with up-front payment off, the booking is confirmed right away and Wellbooked emails the booker a payment link once the session ends. You choose how long after it ends to send it.

Bookers pay on a secure Stripe form built into Wellbooked — no separate account needed. It accepts cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. For up-front payments, their time stays held while they complete checkout; once payment succeeds they get the usual confirmation email and calendar invite.

• Fees — Wellbooked adds nothing on top. You pay only Stripe's standard processing fee per transaction.
• Payouts — Stripe deposits your earnings directly to your connected bank account on its normal schedule. You can track them in your Stripe dashboard.
• Refunds — issue refunds from your Stripe dashboard whenever you need to.
