Setting Your Availability
Tell Wellbooked when you're free, and let people book the rest.
Overview
Your Availability page is where you set the hours people can book. It has two parts: your weekly hours (your normal, recurring schedule) and date overrides (one-off exceptions like a day off or special hours). Open it from the Availability link in the sidebar. These are your global hours: every appointment type uses them unless you give it custom availability.
Weekly hours
- Turn on the days you work. Toggle each day of the week on or off. A day that's off shows as Unavailable.
- Set your hours. Turning a day on starts it at 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Adjust the start and end times to suit you.
- Add more blocks if you need a break. Use Add time slot to split a day — for example 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 2:00 PM–5:00 PM. Blocks can't overlap, but they can touch.
- Save Availability.
Time increment
Choose the spacing between bookable start times — 15 min, 30 min, or 1 hr. This sets the times bookers can choose (e.g. 9:00, 9:30, 10:00…) and applies across all of your appointment types.
Date overrides
Overrides replace your weekly hours for specific dates. Click Add Override, pick a start date (and an optional end date for a range), then choose a type:
- Block entire day(s) — mark yourself unavailable, e.g. for vacation or a holiday.
- Custom hours — open different hours than usual on those dates, in 15-minute steps.
You can add an optional reason for your own reference — it's only shown to you here, never to people booking.
Different hours for one appointment type
Need one service on its own schedule? Open it from Appointment Types and turn on Use custom availability for this appointment type. It gets its own weekly hours and date overrides in place of your global schedule. Dates you block on the global Availability page still apply, so a vacation block covers everything.
Time zones
Your hours are set in your account time zone (you can change it in Settings). People booking with you automatically see your available times converted to their own time zone, and they can switch the time zone on the booking page if they'd like. If their time zone differs from yours, the booking page makes that clear before they confirm.
How it all comes together
The times bookers actually see are your open hours, minus anything ruled out by:
- Date overrides, including any custom availability on the appointment type.
- Each appointment type's scheduling rules (buffers, minimum notice, booking window, max per day).
- Busy events on your connected calendars.
- Times that are already booked.
